We offer a private and confidential Anonymous HIV screening. Anonymous testing means that nothing ties your test results to you and you get your test results, using a rapid test within 20 minutes after testing, right at our clinic. There will be no notification to official bodies if your test turns out positive.
A negative rapid HIV test result requires no further confirmatory testing. A positive test requires confirmation by further testing.
The window period is the time between your exposure to the infection and the detection of the HIV infection if you have been infected. The window period for HIV starts from Day 28 and can be up to 3 months in most cases, sometimes longer if the immune system is affected.
HIV tests performed within the window period (less than 3 months) may not be conclusive and a repeat test may be necessary. You may take the test earlier than 3 months but a repeat test is usually advised, 3 months after exposure.
